Aesthetic Treatments

Our hands are particularly vulnerable to the damaging effects of our surrounding environment. Prolonged exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet radiation can cause blemishes or liver spots. As we age our skin becomes thinner, resulting in a ‘leathery’ appearance with greater prominence of the veins on the back of our hands. Our blood vessels become more fragile and leaky, causing a typical yellowish-brown pigmentation. These changes can result in a ‘skeletal’ appearance that many consider unattractive.
Mr Sorene’s position as an internationally recognised hand specialist places him at the very top of this evolving speciality and he is recognised as a pioneer in this niche field. Following an initial consultation and assessment you will be shown the complete range of rejuvenation therapies and an individualised programme tailored to your unique requirements will be provided.

Fillers

Over time the plump layer of tissue on the back of the hand diminishes allowing veins and tendons to become more visible.
We utilise a range of injectable dermal fillers composed of small calcium hydroxyappatite microspheres suspended in a soft gel matrix. When injected into the skin the gel-matrix of calcium microspheres pushes up the contour deficits, providing a lifting effect and giving instant volume. For even greater benefit, the calcium microspheres stimulate the production of your own natural collagen, resulting in a triple effect of volumisation, wrinkle filling and skin rejuvenation.

Mr Sorene is an advanced aesthetic practitioner and also undertakes the full range of facial aesthetic treatments of injectables, anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers.

Laser Treatments

We use the latest laser technology as an integral part of our complete range of hand and facial rejuvenation therapies.

IPL

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) use photo-rejuvenation to target pigmentation (darkening caused by melanin deposition) on the back of the hand. In addition to simulating fibroblasts in the skin to minimise lines and increase firmness, IPL specifically targets sun spots to leave a more uniform skin tone and younger looking hand.

RESURFx

Fractional non-ablative laser technology delivers heat into the superficial layers of the skin through thousands of deep columns. The process eliminates old cells and stimulates new collagen formation leaving hands looking healthy and firm with a significant reduction in wrinkles. Recovery time is minimal.

Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP is a product of blood plasma that is rich in platelets. Whilst its use has been established in mainstream medicine for some years, it has become one the most talked about anti-aging injectable treatments of the moment. Colloquially known as ‘Dracula Therapy’ it essentially uses your own biological high octane plasma to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and rejuvenate skin texture. It can also be used to reduce the signs of scars. A small amount of your blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet rich plasma containing growth factors. It is then re-injected into the back of the hand. As PRP is taken from your own body it is 100% natural and has minimal risk of any adverse reaction or complication. Improvement of skin texture and tone is typically noticeable within 6 weeks with full collagen regeneration occurring in 6 months.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels applied to the hand stimulate collage synthesis and can help in the treatment of fine lines, sun damage, irregular texture and superficial wrinkles. They are also effective in treating pigmentation problems and liver spots. Our chemical peels penetrate to the medium layer of the skin giving a rejuvenated and youthful appearance.

Hyperhidrosis / Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating. Patients with hyperhidrosis produce an excessive amount of sweat in the palm or underarm that exceeds that needed to regulate body temperature and can cause embarrassment in social situations. Treatment involves injecting a small amount of Botox into the skin that reduces the output of sweat glands.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy works on the principle of delivering vitamins, aminoacids, minerals and hyaluronic acid in to the mesoderm – the layer of the skin where cells repair and cell growth occurs. Mesotherapy helps improve dull tired-looking and dry skin, and superficial wrinkles. Skin becomes luminescent, hydrated, nourished and firmer with improved texture.
